What triggers a notification
Notifications are created the moment work changes, and go to the people it concerns.
Hearings
When a hearing is scheduled, rescheduled, adjourned, cancelled, or its outcome is recorded, the case team is notified.
Task assignments
When a task is assigned to you, you’re notified so it doesn’t get missed.
Cases
When a case is created or its status changes, the case team is notified.
Clients
When a client is added, archived or restored, the responsible managers are notified.
Finance
When an invoice is created, a payment is recorded, or a court fee or expense is added, the finance roles are notified.
You’re never notified of your own actions, and finance notifications reach finance roles only — so each notification is relevant to the person receiving it.

Where notifications appear
Unread activity is visible right where you work — no separate inbox to check.
Header bell
A bell in the top bar shows your unread count and a list of your most recent notifications.
Sidebar badge
The Notifications menu item carries a live unread badge from the same count.
Per-entity tab badges
Inside a case or client, the relevant tabs — hearings, tasks, invoices — show unread badges, so you see exactly where new activity is.
Notifications page
A dedicated notifications page lists your history, where you can mark items as read.
Every notification says who did what
Notifications and activity timelines are actor-aware: each message names the team member and the action in clear Arabic or English — never a raw ID. When a person can’t be resolved, a neutral “team member” label is used instead.
Designed to grow in later phases
Qanoni’s notifications are in-app today. Time-based reminders, external channels (email, WhatsApp, SMS) and per-user notification preferences are designed to build on this foundation in later phases.
